L'IMPEGNO DELL'AVOGADRO PER LA CITTADINANZA EUROPEA E GLOBALE

This application was sent in by Liceo Scientifico Avogadro in Rome; its first aim is the internationalization of the school. The participants to the project are in total 11 during the first year and 9 during the second year. They teach Maths and Physics, Science, History and Italian Literature, Religion. Many subjects are involved, so that we can have a great impact on the entire school and a better future dissemination. The headmistress of the school is also participating in this project; as she is the chief of the school, she will manage directly the international contacts, personally representing our school in Europe.
The partner country is England, and the project is lasting two years.
During the first year, (summer 2015) we planned to do three different activities:
- English Language structured courses (8 teachers + headmistress - 2 weeks)
- CLIL methodology course (1 teacher - 1 week)
- Job shadowing (1 teacher - September 2015, 1 week)
During the second year (summer 2016) we planned two activities:
- English Language structured course (headmistress - 2 weeks)
- CLIL methodology courses (8 teachers - 1 week)
Before the departure of the group of teachers we are going to organize at school an intensive English language course; between the first and the second year the teachers will continue with an English course and will get an official Europass Language Certificate (level B1-B2-C1), and after the CLIL methodology course in England, they will be teaching many subjects with CLIL methodology in a great number of classes.
An advanced methodology, which follows the guidelines of our Ministry of Education, will certainly bring about a great improvement in our students’ knowledge and ability. Besides, our teachers will be able to communicate easily with all the rest of Europe: we consider this a great chance of renewal and modernization.
