L'Europe des apprentis
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

While European mobility learning has become a reality for some students and apprentices, it is still out of the reach of many who remain on the margins of professional opportunity. Our goal is to offer a new structured space that will allow apprentices-in-training and post-apprentices in the labor market to enrich their professional background. The proposed project will apply to 15 baccalaureate professionals in sales and 20 recent graduates in the labor market, for whom an internship with a company in Ireland would be an opportunity for improving their language and business skills. The access to Europe and English language immersion would be major assets for them in achieving professional entrée and integration in the global business world. The project’s objective is to facilitate professional integration for its apprentices, through innovative learning experiences that will expand their chances to compete in the international job market, specifically by developing the skills that SMEs and retail businesses need to ensure the smooth running of their international activities. The three-week mobility program enables participants to undertake operational training in a business unit. The more in-depth 26-week program provides comprehensive training in managerial practices, including the motivation and management of a sales team. To ensure the project team will succeed, the following phases are planned: 1. Preparation: Set objectives, create a training plan, promote the project, select candidates, plan the implementation of conventions 2. Implementation: Implement objectives, anticipate unforeseen circumstances, conduct ongoing assessment throughout the life of the project 3. Evaluation: Check that objectives are being achieved, validate skills, enhance and disseminate the experience Mobility learning has a measureable impact on improving participants’ formal and informal competencies. We hope to further the recognition of mobility study abroad as an integral part of a well-rounded business education and make it a permanent part of our curriculum.
