« l’école ouverte sur la grande Europe »
Date du début: 5 janv. 2016, Date de fin: 4 avr. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project "Open School on Greater Europe” pursues the objective of hosting young foreign volunteers to directly contribute to the development of the concept of European citizenship and tolerance of our community. The project will benefit the volunteer who will be guided by his mentor and staff of our institution. The project will also benefit our learners and students by raising their awareness to a more international level to forge peace for greater Europe. We will host one volunteer who will work with our 900 learners, students, interns and the staff. Sevak has a profile which suits to our public, because he is mature and has civil and intellectual awareness which he will transfer to our community. The fact that he learned five foreign languages can be seen as an example of openness for international communication and multilogue.Sevak has competences in artistic domains, as well as in event organisation. He worked in an NGO for three years and offered non-formal educational sessions on themes related to culture and sexuality. This experience will reinforce the dynamic of open and non-formal education in our college. This project contains diverse activities which also involves various partners from larger community and region. The objectives of the project have been established with the cooperation of the EVS volunteer (by using tools like Skype and Google Drive). The objectives are:- contribute to the personal, professional and ethical development of the volunteer, as well as of learners, students of our college and broader community,- organise projects (intergenerational public gardens, an international cooperation project created by the volunteer and learners during his main project) and events (in the scope of UNESCO club of our college and in other contexts),- improve the skills of young participants in the spheres of communication, organisation, teamwork, and other specific sets of skills,- improve the employability of young participants and the EVS volunteer through their personal development.Non-formal educational methods will be at the heart of all the activities undertaken during the project. The project seeks establishing international cooperation between the French institution and the Armenian ones notably in the field of agricultural education. The primary impact which we seek to achieve is to contribute to the forging of open-minded international educational community which will also be tolerant and equipped for the objective of creating a greater peaceful Europe. Two other important impacts we want to have deal with the learning of foreign languages (French for the volunteer and English for our students and staff) and with the promotion of European mobility for our greater community. The volunteer also seeks improving his agro-ecological and organisational skills. This EVS project also can serve as a model and encourage young French citizens to do EVS projects themselves and approach local sending organisations (this is our first EVS project).
