Date du début: 31 déc. 2015, Date de fin: 30 déc. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

“Teacher training as a means of school’s development” is a project carried out by a group of teachers of Zespół Szkół Gastronomicznych i Handlowych in Bielsko-Biała, Poland (Catering and Trade Vocational Secondary Schools). There will be fifteen participants in the project: the head teachers, teachers of vocational subjects, foreign languages and general subjects. The participants vary in terms of their seniority, work experience and the rank in professional advancement. The primary objective of the project is a multifaceted development of the school and the teaching staff. Taking part in foreign language courses and teacher training courses will improve the school’s quality of development, the popularization of modern teaching tools and methods as well as the teaching effectiveness. Another objective is to enhance the school’s prestige by improving teaching staff’s qualifications. The school’s teaching offer will become wider due to the introduction of an ICT component and it will make it easier for vocational subjects teachers to search for and come into contact with international partners. Raising intercultural awareness among students as citizens of the integrated Europe is also an important part of the project. Six teacher training activities have been planned to take place from September, 2015 to September, 2016. The project participants will improve their qualifications during various foreign language and teacher training courses in different EU countries (The Chech Republic, The United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France). Implementing the activities will be done according to a schedule and arrangements made at meetings with the coordinator and the participants. Another important part is delegating responsibilities to individual participants. Carrying out the project will help the school to become unique in the local community, to win more appeal among junior secondary school graduates and to gain experience which will be further used in preparing other EU projects. Participation in the project includes informal education as well, which means learning logistic, organisational, integrative and interpersonal skills.
