The Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala would like to realise a project within Erasmus. There can be noticed a lot of profits for our community after a 6-month volunteers` visit in 2014/2015. There is the main aim of the project:- supporting teenagers by allowing them to gain experience and supporting local community by volunteers` work and teaching them the tolerance and gaining multicultural experiencesThere are specific aims of our project:- improving the teenagers` level of competences and abilities, promoting social activities at local and supranational level as the proposal of being active on labour market- volunteers` engagement in local life and cooperation with the environment- improvement of teenagers` educational opportunities and the people`s working with teenagers - making possible to improve the quality of work with teenagers and improving the cooperation between engaged institutions- gaining more knowledge, promoting good practice, and using European Union funds as a way to support teenagers` policy- making the Centre and people who with teenagers more important- promoting the mobility and cooperation between partners engaged in the project but also among multinational organization. Thanks to the volunteers` project the Centre has become more attractive, better developed and more effective. There can be noticed new chances for development of the institution, both the individual competences development and systemic, institutional activities. We would like to show that thanks to taking part in the European volunteers` programs there are other possibilities and chances for volunteers, who work in our Centre (at different age, such as pupils from primary schools, students from high schools, students, working people and unemployed). What is more, we would like to inspire the community to look at the social problems. The situation in our region is difficult that is why our motivation is bigger. The Kowala community is a rural community with a big level of unemployment, especially among young people, that is why the voluntary activity is a chance of supporting them, of young people`s development, of teaching them about different cultures, of improving life experience, of enabling them to find work. The European voluntary activity will give young people the chance to spend their free time in different way, which will help to create global community, opened for other people. Moreover, multinational contacts give the opportunity of development, new contacts, knowledge and experience. Our institution would like to expect three volunteers, who like contacts with other people, have the ability to work with children, teenagers, adults, elderly people and disabled people. They should be open-minded, eager to learn and to teach. Musically gifted volunteers will be appreciated. There are the main elements of the project activities: 1. engagement in working for elderly people, disabled people, also for children at their homes – the period of time will depend on the family`s needs. Volunteers will be got first aid trainee to be able to work with elderly and disabled people2. working in community centres, at primary schools together with the tutor and realizing their own activities program, introducing their own projects, 3. teaching women and men at different age a foreign language such as English and/or the volunteer`s mother tongue in the community centre Szansa in Kowala i.e. twice a week4. taking part in activities proposed by the Voluntary Centre at the local Social Welfare Centre such as in workshops improving voluntary abilities, the Cleaner`s Day, educational trips, Independence Relay, the Week of cleaning wardrobes. The results of the project will be: public speeches, the article in the newspaper, the notice at the notice board in the Community Office, the information and photos at local services like facebook, information in the radio – local and regional listeners, a radio broadcast with the volunteers.
