TERMINÉ
The “Roots and wings” project is based on a school concept for years 2012-2017, school improvement programme for 2013-2015 and on the basis of the European School Development Plan. It relates to school improvement in the following areas: management, teaching, education and care.
The improvement is to take place by:
- improving the institution management - implementation of the information and communication technology (ICT) and improving of the organization of school work
- teachers and administrative staff training,
- developing school staff skills such as communication in English, teaching of ICT and using the latest teaching methods for example in the range of methods of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)
- improving the relationship between parents, teachers and students, improving relations with the local community and the school image in the environment,
The aim of the project is to improve the quality of education, which will result in:
- raising the average test results of the year six students
- improve the prestige of our school in rankings conducted by media
- Improvement of opinion about the school in the local community which will transfer into increased enrollment for the school.
The project will involve approximately 15 school staff: 13 teachers, including the headmaster, 2 teachers of English and at the same time early childhood education, 5 teachers: nature, mathematics, history, the arts, physical education, 3 teachers of early childhood education, 1 teacher of day room and at the same time early childhood education and 2 administrative staff: school secretary and head of the administrative - economic development. Participants in the project will be improved in the established areas of learning and teaching and school management in accordance with the guidelines laid down in the EPRS. They will also participate in job shadowing in partner schools. Gained experience and skills will give the other teachers and school staff in the form of organized activities school networks. As the result of the project we will elaborate an innovative school program: "We learn to learn", which will reflect the changes in approaches to teaching, moving away from a passive adoption of knowledge by students and focus on active student who is a partner in the educational process, which brings up the very best domains as diagnosis his multiple intelligence and recognize dominant way of learning and responsible for the selection of methods and techniques of learning. We want to introduce a new model of teaching based on the asymmetry that is focused on the learner, not the teacher as the sole source of knowledge and moral orientation, a model which is based on direct experience, teaching, learning, active and based on the interaction with others. We strive to base our teaching on a pluralistic and multicultural model of education and lifelong attitudes and competence to conscious and fully participate in European society. In principle, our students are to become individuals living and operating in certain conditions, but able to transform and improve the surrounding reality, which does not treat as a gift from the earlier generations, but are able to shape the culture of their society and also each other, so as to become emancipated citizens.
