"The communication – ways of use - is a youth exchange realised under the Erasmus + program which included 24 young participants at the age 18 – 30 years old, from Romania, Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria. Many young people don’t possess the ability to socialize and communicate. This leads to low spirits and self-confidence; fear of failure; inability to speak in public and to formulate their ideas smoothly; often due to lack of command of verbal language and body language come to unnecessary disputes and conflicts; not able to debate; not able to express themselves and to defend their positions – civil, professional, personal.The main goal of the project was for the participants in it to develop communication skills, including: personal and professional satisfaction; critical thinking and committed attitude; emphatic communication and active listening; organizational skills and skillfully allocating time; skills to solve problems; in addition qualities such as self-awareness , adaptability , initiative , compassion, confidence , integrity, self-control, good behavior , influence, taking risks. During the 9 days of the project the participants were involved in various activities: training sessions, discussions, role- plays, simulations, intercultural experiences and exchange of ideas and good practices. By combining formal, non-formal and informal education we aimed to effectively affect all participants in the project so that the knowledge and skills were easily internalized and effectively put into practice in the future. During the project the participants had the opportunity to experience the cultures and traditions of other countries, to communicate, work and have fun together with young people from different countries, moving together towards the same common goal.The expected results of the project are: young people with skills for " active listening "; emphatic communication; understanding, despite differences of opinion; awareness of their own perceptions and concepts; efficient dealing with conflict situations; keeping a beneficial and enriching communication; build on the ideas of others, instead of going into conflict situations; skills to express their well-grounded position, critical thinking and committed attitude.As a final result is expected the participants to share their acquired during the project knowledge and skills in the environment in which they live and work through actions and personal example, thus become catalysts for the development of the people they communicate with.
