The project entitled 'A competent teacher as an investment in the future of an ICT specialist' will be implemented by Zespol Szkol Nr 1 in Cracow in the years 2016-2018. The project has an international dimension and opens the door to knowledge and professional key competences, including developing language, professional and teaching skills. Students of ICT faculty will be the main beneficiaries of the project who, thanks to their teachers' mobilities, will have an opportunity to extend and improve their knowledge and skills.A key objective of the project is to improve the quality of teaching in ICT classes and to improve performance of ICT students. International integration, European dialogue and widening school's European dimension, improving students' language skills, deepening teachers' language and methodological knowledge, developing key competences and refreshing teaching techniques are also of high importance. As part of planned activities a whole range of attitudes, skills and knowledge will be acquired, for example, a contact with authentic language in everyday situations, increasing students' motivation through the acquired techniques, promoting foreign language learning in many subjects, deepening general knowledge of ICT, culture, geography, history, literature, and other subjects, activating students, increasing the quality of professional work and strengthening school's education market, exchanging professional experience with teachers from other countries and learning about different European educational systems.Teachers also need to improve their talents, skills and use them to improve the quality of their own teaching and exam results, gaining contacts for possible future international cooperation and development of pedagogical knowledge.Breaking down language barriers, openness to other cultures, customs and norms and international dialogue will fulfill an important role in raising awareness of the project participants, which in turn will be passed on to the classroom. The tools used in the field of ICT will play an important role, because the project involves using modern communication and multimedia tools.The project will be one of the most important elements to promote our school at the local and national levels, as the dissemination of information about the activities and mobilities, their impact on the quality of teaching in our school will attract candidates to the first class. With better-educated staff we will increase the prestige of our school. Our graduates' profile will be inextricably linked not only with the knowledge of vocational subjects, but also with the knowledge of foreign languages, tolerance towards the culture of other nations and diversity.The project entitled 'A competent teacher as an investment in the future of an ICT specialist' has been written for students - future graduates and experts in the ICT industry, who by receiving good education will obtain key skills needed to function in modern Europe.
