The apllicant of the Compass of knowledge project is Technology Innovation Centre Međimurje Ltd (TICM) whose regular activities are defined by its strategic goals. One of TICM's main goals is to incubate knowledge-based companies and facilitate their establishment and operation within TICM and Knowledge centre of Medjimurje County. In order to motivate young people to enter the world of entrepreneurship or to support existing entrepreneurs and facilitate their growth and development, constant invesment in formal and informal eduaction is required. TICM itself is engaged in various forms of informal education for existing and potential entrepreneurs. Workshops, seminars or other types of activities that we organise range in topics from innovation management, high technologies, intellectual property rights, internet marketing, human resources management, application and implementation of projects funded by EU or from national sources. In order to ensure high quality level of abovementioned services, TICM is constantly investing in education of its employees. The main goal of this project arises from that fact: Development of professional competences and TICM's partner network. The following activities are included in the project: 1) Project management and dissemination of results and accomplished goals; 2) Preparation for mobility; 3) Participating in defined eduactions or trainings; 4) Follow-up activities. The following are topics of defined educations: planning and managing education projects financed from EU sources, advanced skills and knowledge in social media, human resource management in eduacational institutions. Project will be implemented by a team comprising Ivan Plačko, TICM's CEO, a man with ample experience in both application and implementation of projects funded by EU, national or other sources and with experience in teaching in formal education system and Goran Levačić, head of incubation and education in TICM, who has experience as a lecturer on Faculty of Graphic Arts at University of Zagreb and in multiple informal workshops, seminars and other educational activities. Igor Kovačić and Sana Đukes will provide administrative and logistics support in implementation of the project. Expected project results are the following: higher level of acquired innovative techniques and tools in teaching, especially in fields of entrepreneurship, career development, social media and their usage to further develop company's services; positive impact on quantity and quality of future workshops and seminars organised by TICM; higher level of competence in field of project cycle management; transfer of acquired knowledge and skills to other employees and shareholders; enriched partner network; good practice transfer from institutions. Apart from abovementioned effects, we expect this project to directly influence TICM's inclusion in ErasmuPlus network of certified institutions.
