PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project aims to broadly develop the skills of various categories of teachers at the Karolinska school in Örebro. The aim is that our teachers will be better and more professional in their meetings with our students and through their insights , experience and knowledge also increase the compliance rate among our students. Students are always the center of everything we do at the Karolinska school and what we do in these various international activities we do for our students' sake. We want to strengthen the school program based on the different challenges that they face. Program in the Humanities (HU) further development of it - get a whole class , then today we only have eight first-choice applicants . We want to strengthen the program and increase the attractiveness of the program. Strengthen the modern spoken languages in school , and increase understanding of the EU and how the EU works.
Language Introduction where we have students from all over the world who bring their various heavy rucksacks . How do we strengthen them , make them work better together , integrating them better, reach them where they are , support them based on their situation , etc.
Arts program (ES) and science program ( NA) - are particularly interested in how they can develop the work with ICT , based on all students in Örebro from autumn 2013 have their own computer . (1:1). We have a huge need to develop all our employees in ICT , but especially on the ES and NA programmes. It is about changing pedagogy and to think about how teaching can be done. In both ES and NA , it's a lot about all the computer programs and all the new opportunities opening up didactically now that all students have their own computer. Anything is possible and it must be our teachers realize .
On the social science program (Arts) , teachers have begun planning to work differently , with 40 + 5 hour week, and they want to work more thematically. This is seen to reduce the perceived stress among teachers , we believe . The teachers are experiencing a tremendous stress in general at the school, which is a big problem for everyone , but then the teachers at the Arts programme wants to try something new , so it would be interesting to compare how teachers perceive this , and how it works in some European countries. We want through job shadowing and conversations with teachers in Denmark, Spain and Germany to find out how it works in these our twin schools / schools that we get through our contact organizations.
We want to involve the whole school in our international work and it will become a natural part of the school's daily work.
We will use us for a variety of methods : Study , self- education , job shadowing , experience sharing , project collaboration , workshops, seminars and talks. And also participate in courses where our participants the opportunity to meet teachers from other European countries and thus bring in even more outside input.
In the short term , this supports every single teacher in their involvement and teacher achievement, and increases awareness of Europe and the world. They also get the knowledge that they can directly transfer to the students. In the long run , we get a greater achievement among our students , we increase students' opportunities for mobility based on increased international knowledge and experience. We strengthen the students in European Studies and emphasizes the importance of us in Sweden is part of the European Community. Our students will :
• Increasing intercultural understanding
• Tolerance towards others and entrenched democratic values
• Solidarity with other people and vulnerable groups
• Increased knowledge of global issues and challenges
