The creation of a common online database can considerably improve the conservation and management of cross-border protected areas. Achievements: The aim of the project was to support the two countries ornithology data collection and processing by setting up an online system that allows the integration of data gained through different monitoring methodologies. A common website has been set up during the project (www.kuvik.eu). The Monitoring of Migrating Waterbirds database has been developed. The online system created an opportunity to directly enter and promptly evaluate data. Moreover 6 brochures were published in connection with birds.
