Abstract of The Project Dr Hulusi Behçet Secondary School, the institution we are working in is in the İnönü quarter of Küçükçekmece District in Istanbul. There are 1590 students and 80 personnels in our school. There are students between the age of 12 and 15. Because that our district takes much migration, there are problems like the adaptation problem of the families to the city culture, the socio-economical weaknesses of the families, the negative psycological influence of the violence in the family on children,the lack of enough family education because of the majority of the families with a large number of children and the existence of factors threatening the surrounding of the school such as substance addiction and joining gangs. These problems affect the children and their families socially. As a result of these social condition, we see unwillingness, the lack of motivation and negative behaviors in our students. The students with these problems come across more problems both in their schools and in their social life in their future, they can't get a certain job and they are engaged in crimes. However, the teachers in our school don't know the methods that can solve the problems of our students and also the teachers don't know how to cooperate with the institutions giving social service and how to help the students that drop out the school in acquiring a profession.Our goal with this project is to give our teachers some skills by taking courses from some institutions work for students and youths that have a variety of problems in Europe ; providing our students behave positively at school, increasing their motivation and interests for school and vocational guidance to the students drop out the school. We aim that create awareness throughout the school and district using our knowledge and skills,understand the students’ problems and reach the youths drop out the school to prepare them for the future by dissemination studies after the project. Our school are going to participate in mobilitywith 6 personnels; 2 directors and 4 teachers from various branches that willing to improve themselves in terms of professional, sensitive to problematic students and don’t take part in any EU projects. We plan organizing one mobility for each country within the project. When we visit a country,they are going to show our teachers that the methods used for reaching the children sociallay affected, how they guide the youths drop out the school in order to choose the right profession for themselves and how they establish a connection with the institutions giving social service. Besides, our teachers are going to exchange information with social pedagogues and the other teachers and some seminars about the methods for the children socially affected like “Personal Development” , “Pedagogical Training” , “The Conditions of Europe in Early Drop Outs” are going to be given them.
