Depending on perceptional abilities, people detect information either perceptibly or absratctly. Piaget, a well-known develepment psychologist, categorized the cognitive development of children. Concrete operational stage comprises the children between the age of 7 and 11, and formal operational stage comprises the children 12 years and over 12 years old. At concrete operational stage, the children can solve problems that apply to concrete objects or events. At this stage, the logic of learning is not completely understood, learning process depends on tactile and visible objects and experiencing something interesting. We can infer that basic training period includes the children at concrete operational. Consequently, European countries such as Belgium, Finland, Poland and Germany arranged their basic training curriculum according to the needs of children at concrete operational. We think that basic training programme of European countries is a student-centered programme and it meets the basic cognitive necessities of the children between the age of 7 and 11. In this context, children learn best through experiencing. In these countries, student are self confident, they can learn how to get information and they are more successful at higher education. According to programme for international student assesment (PISA) carried out by OECD, these countries are at the top. Turkey decided to change his basic training programme in 2012. Lowering the course loan, Ministry of Education adapted his basic training curriculum according to the results of PISA. The main problem was the teachers who have difficulty in keeping pace with new educatinal approaches because they didn’t receive training about new educational approaches at universities. Senior teachers at primary schools teach Maths,Turkish or Social Studies during Game and Free Time Activities lesson because they can’t be effective enough and it affects students’ success, causes students to develop negative stance against their school and prevents permenant learning. Consequently, objectives described in the curriculum can’t be obtained and students have some difficulties at upper grades. We want to solve these problems by observing the best practises in European countries. That’s why we prepared this project. In our project, teachers will observe the practises at schools in Belgium, so they will be able to tranfer their experiences. We believe that teachers will get experiences when they see the the bets methods, games, students activities and kid games at school in Belgium. Our teachers will have effective role in classes by the help of this project because they will get competence on activities ,games and methods. There will be no absenteeism problem because student-centered lessons will be conducted more effectively and students won’t get bored during the lessons. Students who learn throuh experinces will develop the sense of cooperation and group work and learning will be permenant. Teachers will rise more sociable and selfconfident student who think analytcally. Detecting their intelligence types and their abilities, student will be canalized into either vocational education or academic education. Students will have a chance to develop their intelligence and they will be more active in every stage of their life and will lead happy and healthy life. Our participants are primary school teachers. The project will be carried out in Belgium between 25th and 29 January ,2016.
