Nowadays, machine-made products have been introduced to all areas of our lives . The continuous improvement in machinery industry has led to its separation to sub-branches. The production of sheet-metal, plastic parts and the molds used to produce these parts with industrial molding method is a sub-branch that came up as a result of this natural process. Manufacturing by molding method saves time, saves money, ensures to manufacture sufficient products in terms of precision and quality and the products have the same dimensions and properties. Advanced CNC machines are not only used in industrial molding field but also to manufacture the parts of other machines. As is known, both plastic and sheet-metal molds used for manufacturing parts are such equipment that they should be produced precisely in order to get products of desired quality. This precision can only be acquired with the molds produced by CNC machines since the duration of production and competitiveness in market are rather important. The Sector tries to meet the need for qualified industrial machinery molders among the Industrial Molding graduates of Machinery department in Vocational Education institutions.. These graduates educated in the Industrial Molding department of the Vocational Education institutions cannot satisfy the requirements of the market because of various reasons and also they have adaptation problems in their business lives.The reason of it is all of the enterprises manufacturing molds have CNC machines and the parts of the molds are produced by these machines. In the curriculum used for the education of future molders the hours of the lessons to teach how to use CNC machines are not enough. Students being educated in the field of computer-aided manufacturing study on CNC for 12 hours a week while students being educated in the field of industrial molding study on CNC for 4 hours a week. That means the students cannot get enough education about the subject both in theory and practice. In addition, because of the lack of equipment in the school students cannot practice adequately. As a result, students graduate from the molding departments without getting enough education. When they start working they lose their confidence because of not being able to use CNC machines efficiently therefore this situation causes the manufacturing process to be insufficient. Our project aims to educate 20 students of Machinery department in Industrial Vocational High Schools and Vocational Education Centers cultivating qualified crew for the Industrial Molds Sector who are already studying in the industrial molding department , newly graduates or the ones who could not enter any higher education institutions and want to improve themselves about the usage of CNC machines, overcome the adaptation problems in their sectors, enhance their confidence, learn new technological developments, methods and techniques in the field of machining and the whole process of the CNC machines (electrical, electronical, software and mechanical) , improve their skills, get more information by face-to-face education and practical applicationsin NCT Academia giving education about CAD-CAM, simulation, CNC machines operation in the body of NCT company having 32 years of experience on CNC machine manufacturing in Budapest the capital of Hungary for 5 weeks, between 27 April 2015- 30 May 2015.In addition, one of our objectives is besides increasing our professional knowledge and experience also to provide a fusion of different cultures and cultural exchange. The reason why our project takes place in Hungary is that NCT company manufactures Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Software products about CNC machines with its own means and has 32 years of experience. The CNC machines produced by the company is popular in European market. Therefore, our students will get education from a company specialized in this field at first hand and will be able to see all the stages of production process of the machines they will use in the future. For the project to reach more people, publications of the local social partner organizations, websites, and relations with the related sectors will be benefited. The project will be disseminated by the publications, written and visual brochures and posters within the body of İzmir Journalists Association Organization, İzted (Izmir Technical Staff Association) and Maztek and by the seminars that will be held with the assistance of local social partners. During the applications we will stay in touch with the school by using the internet, telephone and fax.
