Teacher training is a continuous process that links basic education and training with professional activity and helps trainees acquire subject and subject pedagogic knowledge, develop skills and adopt attitudes that will enable them to use scientific and pedagogical developments in an effective way, develop an ability of reflecting on their educational practices and successfully respond to the challenges of the knowledge society.Teacher training belongs to the field of adult education and lifelong learning. For this reason, a needs assessment survey has already been conducted focusing on ways of improving the quality of education provided in our school and our school board has unanimously decided, after a meeting held on 29/01/2016 (Act No. 06),that our school teachers will participate in training courses regarding:approaches to multicultural issues in education, managment and development self and others and human resources management in education institutions. Our school project aims at improving human resourses management, communication horizontally among trainers and verticaly among administration, trainers and trainnees, teaching process based on innovative approaches to education, better classroom management techniques and encouraging cooperation among trainers so as to benefit learners even more.They participants are also familiar with new technologies and willing to contribute to the implementation of innovative programmes.The training process will be based on a balance between theory and practice, group and individual activities using modern technologies. The trainees will have the opportunity to share their experiences and contribute to shaping the learning process, follow the progress of different teaching methods, give presentations and participate in experiential learning activities.Through the training of teachers in innovative pedagogical methods and teaching approaches an appropriate educational environment in the classroom will be created, possible communication problems with adult learners will be avoided and the educational process will become more effective. The trainers will be able to organize their class in a better way, communicate, develop better interpersonal relations and acquire innovative educational techniques that will make their teaching more accessible to trainees. They will also gain experience and new knowledge needed for their careers. Apart from their personal and professional development, the trainees will acquire and improve their skills of approaching learners and build healthy relations based on mutual trust, respect and understanding.Our school will gain publicity, new partnerships, networking and will be equipped with trained teaching staff. Furthermore, better interpersonal relationships between trainers and trainees will be established and the educational environment in the classroom and at school generally will be improved. The trainers will be given the opportunity to share their experiences, exchange ideas and participate in the construction of a more accessible, democratic and world-oriented Europe. We expect that the experience gained will be used in the classroom and the immediate learning outcomes will prove useful so as to improve the quality of education and achieve the internationalisation of our school.
