This project involves the Valle d'Aosta (Italy) and the city of Elche, in Valencia, Spain. For 13 days, participants will learn through living together, the special features of each culture and share their vision of the world, looking for differences and similarities that unite the mountainous region of Valle d'Aosta and the southern Spain. In this second part of the project, the Italian group will host the Spanish one and will show them the history, the culture, the traditions and the territory of the Valle d'Aosta, but the planned activities will be focused mainly on participation of youth, associations, nature conservation and life in the mountains of the valley. In the first part of the project, in Elche, our objectives were centered on the individual values, the self-knowledge, self-esteem, and guidance through the training tools, toward taking ontheir hands their own life in this stage so crucial of life. For this second part, not abbandoning the ongoing process of individual work, we want to create collective values, through the knowledge and care of nature and youth participation. To achieve the objectives, the participants will work, at an earlier stage, for part of 2015 and 2016, to learn firsthand the city and the mountains where they live, and associations operating in the area, to show it from their point of view to the Spanish group. The Italian participants are 10 boys and girls from 16 to 25 years, residents in Val d'Aosta, who come from very different social realities, some of them are users of the 'Association "Uniendo Raices", which participates in the project as organizational part. The Spanish participants are mostly belonging to poor families residing in the city of Elche, and attend youth centers which carry out teaching, active citizenship activities and leisure. As important activities, "Apadrina an spanish", in which each participant local host for a day and a night at a Spanish participant, to have the opportunity to share fully normal activities with his family. Another day will be dedicated to the arts and crafts traditions most deeply rooted in Aosta. During the project the participants will learn about the landscapes of Aosta Valley, our flora and fauna, spontaneous herbs from the mountains, and their use and properties to prepare typical dishes of the area, and as natural remedies. We will run various activities by understanding and cooperation with the voluntary associations operating in the area and will organize a return activity for users' associations that will open us their doors, organized by the young people participating in the project. We will put into practice the work done in these 13 days in the field of youth participation. All this by eliminating language barriers day after day learning to communicate with equals. The methodology used in our project will be directed towards non-formal learning and informal, looking for experiential learning by encouraging participants to actively participate in all the hours in activities through: the small group work, exercises on the confidence of the team, games role-playing and simulations, individual and self-reflection, expression and creative thinking, group sessions and continuous feedback, tasks for self-knowledge and their skills and abilities that will serve in the future, both personally and professionally. We hope that after the project, the participants can take advantage of everything learned in their daily life, with his family, friends and community organizations. The first part of the project already had a great impact on the participants and the region, the Aosta Valley is ready to host the participants of this project and there are many people and organizations that are already available to participate and help with the activities organized.
