Background and rationale: UNAD is integrated by 253 social organizations throughout Spain. This network works since 1985 in the field of addiction and social exclusion is the applicant organization.The project takes place in Spain. Their activities takes place in Madrid although the participants come from different Autonomous Communities. The areas covered by the project are "Youth" and "Addictions", managed by The Youth Institute and the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs (statewide). Both of them are Agencies under the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.In 2016 expires the "Youth Action Plan" and the "Action Plan on Drugs". Both aimed at "Reducing the demand for drugs in young people." This means that at the end of this year should assess these two Plans of Action, and then renew them for the next stage. In this course both, the Youth Institute and the National The National Plan on Drugs, will need information from civil society for the process to be participatory. Therefore this project wants to open debate and dialogue among decision-makers and young people.Objectives and expected results:- General objective: promoting social dialogue between the people responsible for making decisions on youth policy and drug policy, and young people. And encouraging youth participation in democratic life.- Specific Objective 1: training young people from different Autonomous Communities in the areas of leadership and social participation, so they can express their opinions and proposals of innovation.. Result 1: six young people from different Autonomous Communities are trained in leadership and social participation. And they have formed a Working Committee from which to act.- Specific Objective 2: informing and training young people about the issue of "Policies and Programs for Youth and Drugs" and offering them the opportunity to debate and discuss these issues with policymakers.. Result 2: Thirty young people and five policymakers meet in a seminar where they dialogue on policies and programs for Youth and Drugs .- Specific Objective 3: giving useful information on youth to policymakers.. Result 3: policymakers know the views of youth regarding policies and programs for Youth and Drugs, especially in the area of prevention.Direct participants: a total of 53 direct participants, 48 young people under 30 years (28 women and 20 men. 9 people with fewer opportunities) and 5 policymakers.Activities:A1. To perform 1st meeting of the Working Committee "Youth and Drugs": 6 people (under 30 who come from different provinces of Spain) selected from the volunteers and staff of UNAD, constitute a Task Force on "Youth and Drugs" and at its first meeting establish its work plan and its methodology. They will also begin to design the contents of an online consultation with youth.A2. To perform 2nd meeting of the Working Committee Youth and Drugs: meeting to analyze the results of the online consultation and to prepare a document with main conclusions. The Working Committee will also prepare proposals for policy innovation.A3. To Hold the Seminar "Policies and Programs for Youth and Drugs": 30 young people and 5 people responsible for making decisions participate in a two-day seminar in Madrid. Here they will discuss and debate about policies and programs of youth and drugs .A4. To perform 3rd meeting of the Working Committee for Youth and Drugs: the Commission's work reflects on the issues discussed at the seminar . Also on the work they have done and the ways in which they can continue their participation and leadership in at regional and state level.Methodology:.Proyect: Logical Framework Methodology. .Project Activities: participatory methodologies to run the meetings of the working committee and to run the seminar. Impact: This project impact on young people which are informed , formed and trained, on those policymakers who know the vision of youth and on UNAD that gets young leaders among their volunteers and staff.Long-term potential beneficiaries: Society and Youth in general; Third sector of social action; UNAD network; INJUVE and Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs.
