A public transport information system is the subject of this project and the main achievement shall be just that – the creation of a user-friendly public transport information system that enables tourists, commuters and everyday passengers to plan their journeys in the cross-border region in a personalised way by allowing them to choose their own travel parameters. The activities of the project stimulate the use of public transport, which has a positive environmental impact. Apart from the development of the information system, a special web portal has been developed and a communication shell. Two smartphone applications (Android and iOS) which passengers can use to get travel and transport information for both areas have been created. This way public transport is more comfortable and more predictable. Travellers will be able to use just one coordinated system for the whole cross-border region, so the travel planning process will be easier and faster.
