The project plans to implement a state of the arts online multimedia system at and between two universities on different sides of the Hungarian-Romanian border. General objective:Increasing the level of cooperation between the universities by compensating the dividing effect of the border through broadening common accessibility of multimedia resources and developing common media competence.Specific objectives:1. Modern multimedia tools will be available for cross border student relationships.2. Education supported with network broadcasting and info-communication tools (e.g. videoconference system).3. Organizing joint symposia supported by a multimedia interface (accessible via Internet).The main activities of the project are: public procurement period, local installation -in Oradea and Debrecen- (installation of radio studio, video post-production workstation, streaming system, video conference system, cabling), delivery of subsystems- in Oradea and Debrecen- (installing video recording and broadcasting subsystems, rack assembly) The target group is the university's entire teaching and research staff, as well as students doing any kind of studies in any associated institution of the university ( 53,500 students and 2,800 teachers/researchers)
