The EVS project "Joining Hands" shall build a bridge between the German association and the European partners as well as between European volunteers and young people from Rostock with a difficult social background. For a period of twelve months the volunteers are to support the organisation in Rostock in preparing youth projects on topics such as cultural diversity, environmental protection or the discussion of German history. Moreover the volunteers should work with disadvantaged young people in Rostock and help them with re-integration. Last but not least the project shall establish a permanent connection between the European countries and advocate tolerance and common understanding.
