Job Shadowing – Counselling for apprenticeship- and job-dropouts This project’s main activity is cross-border mobility of 5 counsellors employed by the VondiConsulting company; they shall spend 2 internships of 4 days each at WHKT in Düsseldorf and Cologne in order to familiarise themselves with methods and tools used in North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany for counselling apprenticeship and job dropouts; The VondiConsulting employees are very interested in the following WHKT initiatives/projects: • German federal programme “IQ - Integration durch Qualifizierung” (Integration by Qualification) (www.gib.nrw.de/themen/wege-der-arbeit/iq-netzwerk-nrw) • QM Initiative – Qualification Initiative for Migrants in Crafts (www.qualifizieren-im-handwerk.de/) and • the NeoCraft LDV partnership (http://www.cnetcorp.com/neocraft/) – New Approaches to Old Crafts Another objective is the establishment of a bilateral expert network in order to a) exchange information/know-how and counselling tools, b) facilitate cross-border counselling among colleagues, c) increase the employees’ counselling skills for both partner organisations and d) initiate a follow-up project with more project partners from other European countries if necessary. VondiConsulting will provide this project’s findings to the following potentially interested parties: a) all VondiConsulting employees and trainers b) fellow counsellors at regional level (Tyrolean Chamber of Economy working group) c) Austrian Employment Office employees d) Tyrolean Regional Government employees (Department of Labour Market Development and Education) e) MCI (Management Center Innsbruck) students (Social Work degree programme) f) fellow counsellors at international level from earlier joint cross-border projects (in South Tyrol, Switzerland and Belgium).
