The International Cultural Association of Turku coordinates a group meeting of young people from Finland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria, Ireland and Sweden. The group meeting is organized on 3.1. – 10.1.2015. The project lasts for 8 days. 60 young people and 10 leaders take part in the project. The main topic of the project is enterprise of young people in Europe. The project is called Job for Youth. Topics of the project are Europe-awareness and youth enterprise. The main goals are formed according to the main topic of the project. The purpose of the project is to promote young people’s active citizenship, to improve working skills, to create new possibilities for studies, to inspire young people to improve important skills. This project gives opportunities for studying enterprise and makes young people more courageous in this area. The goal of the project is not to create a businessman during a week but to start doing something new which requires courage and specific personal qualities and skills. All the participants are eager to take part in the international group work. Europe-awareness and Europe-enterprise are reviewed in the form of presentations and workshops. Methods of work are group work (in small and large groups), conversations, visits and simulations. Each day ends by review of learned things and experiences. Tasks are practical and provide possibilities for making their ideas real. Tasks help to learn finding solutions to the problems. Doing group work participants learn taking responsibility for their own actions. Participation in the project of young people from different countries is important, because it improves self-confidence and such important values as solidarity and equality. After returning homeland, all the partners organize information seminars for young people to inspire them of the topic. New solutions are shared on the internet. A summary of the project is made, where methods and results are reviewed. Organizers and participants think over succeeded things and what should have been done in other ways. Positive results will have influence to the work of organizations and partners. They will be used in other future projects and in general activities of our associations.
