The main element of the project "Foreign languages – our passion and the way of our lives" will be the international mobility arrangements for 4 teachers of Gimnazjum nr 1 im. Szarych Szeregów in Namysłów. They will participate in methodological training and language courses which will take place in England, Ireland, Spain and Germany. If the teachers take part in a.m. courses, they will improve their language skills and perfect their work competency so that they will perfect their professional qualifications. Thanks to the participation in such courses, the educational processes will be improved and the students will be more interested in lessons. The extension of our school’s educational offer and the improvement of teacher’s working methods will be an attempt to face the educational aspirations of students and will help to reduce the phenomenon of early school leaving. The improvement of teachers' language proficiency will also contribute to the increase of their involvement in the implementation of international projects. These projects will increase the extent of students’ involvement in school activities. They will also allow the exchange of good practices with foreign partners, which will result in learning and implementing educational solutions tested in other countries. Contacts established by project’s team members with other participants during training, will be the simplification in formation of partnerships. In the initial phase of the project, the team responsible for its implementation will be appointed and a division of responsibilities and work schedule will be developed. The school will inform of the commencement of the activities on its website, school notice board, Facebook profile and the e-Chronicle (which will be created especially for the task). Local authorities and other local schools will also be informed of the project. The teachers who participate in these courses will undergo relevant linguistic and cultural preparation and specialized external company will take care of the logistic mobility arrangements. Four teachers are going to take part in the trips. The headmaster will participate in an English language course, which will enable her to develop a comprehensive linguistic competence. This is extremely important in the context of the international plans of school activity. The German teacher will participate in training „Lernstrategien im modernen DaF-Unterricht kreativ anwenden und vermitteln” whereby she would have the opportunity to learn new ways of working and improve her skills teaching. This will make lessons more interactive and interesting for the students. The English teacher will participate in a Spanish course. It will help in improving teacher's knowledge of the language and allow her to begin her teaching at the school. It will expand the school’s educational offer. The Math teacher will participate in the methodology course which is focused on understanding the CLIL methodology. This will allow her to start teaching mathematics in English. It will also expand the school’s educational offer. The teacher’s task will also be to collect documentation, report the course to co-ordinator (using questionnaires) and to build a network of contacts with other students, in order to find potential partners for future international projects. After the training, teachers will receive certificates Europass Mobility and Europass Language Passport. Then they will return Poland. Coordinator will prepare a report on the progress of mobility for the board of teachers and all participants will take a test to check the language skills acquired. There will be organized a series of open lessons for teachers and other people as well as events and competitions between schools, to popularize the results of the project. All educational institutions in our town will be invited to participate in these events. It allows better promotion of the project in the local community. A report prepared by the coordinator will be the summary of the project, it will be published on school website and facebook profile. The school will inform potentially interested people of opportunities to familiarize themselves with the document. The school will also establish contact with the press to publish articles about the project. The project will not only enrich the school's educational offer, but it also allows to acquire foreign partners with whom we can carry out a variety of educational initiatives. It will be a chance for us to exchange our practices and experiences, which will help improve the performance of our school. The teaching staff will improve their language skills, that will increase their involvement in international projects and allow them to participate in more numbers of them. Participation in these types of activities will also be an opportunity for students to gain new experiences, improving language proficiency and widening their horizons.
