There are 18 teachers working in Gimnazjum nr 2 in Stalowa Wola involved in the project "English - tool, passion, opportunity'.
The teachers realize mobilities and take part in language courses, language and methodological in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. During the courses a wide group of teachers of different subjects will achieve or raise their competence in the English language, the use of the tools of information and communication technologies in teaching, creation and use of modern tools of evaluation of an effective team communication. The project involves the realization of other activities to strengthen the process of acquiring professional skills of teachers. Stydying on e-learning platforms after finishing mobilities will ensure the continuity of the learning process and its effectiveness. An important element of the project is the exchange of experience and mutual learning among teachers.
The main objective of the project is to enhance the professional skills of teachers, mainly language skills. Achieved knowledge and skills will enable better and more effective involvement of teachers in work with their students through projects of international cooperation, interdisciplinary projects, innovation and experimentation in teaching. English will become a tool to acquire knowledge of different subjects and an opportunity for the development of many interesting initiatives. Participation of teachers in the project will also be a chance of their personal development, improve the level of self-esteem, increase the level of motivation. Commitment and competence of teachers wil have a strong impact on the level of quality of work of the whole school. The number of extra classes for students will be raised and their content will be enriched in accordance with their educational needs. Students will have a better chance to participate in the ongoing international projects. The results achieved in the project will affect the creation of a positive image of the school in the community. In the long term perspective the results of the project will lead to permanent positive change in the approach to education and training.
