Title of the project: "I am a part of Science- organisation of science events in schools" Time of the realisation of the project: 24 months ( 01.06.2014- 01.06.2016) Place: Primary School of Wl. Szafer in Żarki- Poland, Malta Objectives of the project: improving the quality and attractiveness of education and competences of the school staff; exchange of knowledge, experiences about organising science events in school, transfer of the acquired knowledge into our institution and its application by organising project activities: organising competitions, olimpiad contests, quizes and exhibitions, connected with ecology and science; intensifying international cooperation; cognition of modern and innovative methods of teaching; utilization of the acquired and new, practical experiences in the realisation of the objectives of our institution: propagation of health- promoting, ecological and environmental protection attitudes; participation in the form of professional development abroad like: job shadowing; dissemination and development of the skills of sharing the knowledge and the experiences by means of modern multimedia tools : blogs, forums, educational platforms like SEEP, eTwinning; inclusion of the local environment and instituitions and organisations connected with ecology-promoting of our region Silesia in preparation science events; dissemination of the content which each event gives and techniques which will be used during its course; sharing the experience; transfering practical skills in the field of technical aspects of the organisation of science events; enrichment of the staff skills in the field of project work and work in groups with the use of multimedia tools, platform eTwinning; improvement of the prestige of the institution in the local environment and appearance on the european platform; showing the balance between pathership organisations on the principle of infiltration; bestowal to our institution an international dimension by mobility as an element of education. Methods of work: project method, work in groups, discussion- sharing experiences and knowledge with a partnership institution, use of multimedia and interactive tools, brainstorming, presentation with the use of camera. Forms of work: olympiad contests, competitions, quizes, lectures, discussions, excursions, presentations Description: The patron of our school is a biologist, scientist and protection of the environment promoter. He inspired the teachers to create this project, which will shape the attitudes towards ecology- promoting, realizing the students how important the protection of the environment is. Additional incentives are natural and landscape values of Krakowsko- Częstochowska Heights, where there situated our school. On the basis of the goals according to the needs and the strategy of our school , the staff of the institution will participate in the mobile professional development of their methods and forms of work "Interactive Science Events in Schools". During the training the teachers will exchange their experiences with the partnership institution, acquire new and innovative skills of planning, organizing and technical working in groups with the use of the project method and multimedia tools. After participation in the training in school there will be organized numerous actions resulting from the assumptions of the project together with other ecology- promoting organisations, the results of all the activities will be disseminated on the platform SEEP, eTwinning and forums, blogs and local press. The project will be constantly monitored with the use of questionnaires, made films, reports and presentations. Effects of the project: development of the professional competences, enrichment of the new experiences in the field of organizing science events, establishing cooperation with international partners, break of language, mental and cultural barriers, opening to new, educational initiatives, methods of operation, improvement of creativity and skills with the use of modern, multimedia tools in the research situation, raising of consciousness of ecology- promotion, health- promotion, dissemination of modern actions with new, multimedia tools.
