The module is focused on the creation of multimodal learning complex dedicated to the intensive studying of the ethnopolitical dynamics in the EU region. The core of the module is the course “Ethnopolitical dynamics in the EU” which is intended to be performed in MGIMO-University on the MA level (Regional Studies magister program). In the frame of the module the students are receiving the knowledge of the basic versions of the theories of nation, nationalism, and ethnopolitical interactions, the panoply of the ethnopolitical phenomena in the EU area, as well as the knowledge of the EU approaches to the ethnopolitical conflict regulation. The main academic goal of the project is to establish ethnopolitical studies as a relevant and substantial part of the EU studies in MGIMO-University.The number of academic hours as well as solid methodological basis secures the in-depth analysis of the issues in question. During the course several educational forms are used including lection, seminars and round tables. The learning progress is evaluated through the series of tests and the final exam. In the frame of the module the creation of the textbook as well as the organization of a series of seminar/round tables is also planned. The textbook is destined to accompany the learning process providing the students by the methodological and empirical thesaurus. As a result the students will acquire theoretical toolkit as well as empirical background for expert level monitoring of the ethnopolitical processes not only in the EU area but also worldwide. Round tables and seminars, embracing first of all students, young researchers and teachers will be a platform to discuss participants’ researches and actual issues of the European ethnopolitical reality.
