The project is targeted at teaching and research. The project aims to: a) increase the EU Private Law contents in the mandatory and optional courses and seminars of the Law Faculty at Graduate and Postgraduate level; b) to expand teaching and debate on EU Private Law matters at other Non-European Universities; c) to promote courses on EU Private Law using on line resources; d) to reinforce awareness of the relevance of EU Private Law within clinical learning; e) to promote research on EU Private Law among young researchers; f) to train professionals, by cooperating with a clinical education project that already networks with third sector entities and public administration; g) to cooperate with consumer associations to offer training to elderly people; h) to offer specific EU Law training to secondary education teachers. The planned courses and academic events are intended to develop capabilities and skills of lasting value aimed at: 1) exploring the attitude of the European legislator in using legal norms to regulate certain aspects of civil, social and economic life; 2) learning how to assess the problems involved in the evolution of European Private Law; 3) improving understanding of the Acquis and its transposition in the Member States; 4) demonstrating how European Private Law can contribute to to the achievement of a single European market, to overcome crisis, and to empower citizens with the possibility of choosing legal regimes other than their own.
