JEAN MONNET CHAIR IN EU POLITICAL STUDIES: NETWORKS OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

The project of Jean Monnet Chair in EU Political Studies: Networks of European Integration (NETwok) is inspired by the idea of the three-level teaching in the core and optional subjects of European Integration Studies (introductory,core, and specialization), by the best practice of our institution in providing quality level of the crossed-dissemination between different participants and public (TV, radio, internet, publishing, etc.), by the enthusiasm to provide promotion and development of the research and teaching in the European Integration Studies at our institution. the proposal NETwork tries to establish huge quality impact on research and teaching in European Integration Studies (EIS) in a way to enlarge within the seminars and lectures the subjects in historical backgrounds of European community-building, policy networks and the role of different social actors in the process of European integration, as the part of the general course on State and Constitution, of extremely important part of the theory of European integration in a way of Social Constructivism and theories/concepts on Policy Networks, of new and enlarged view on EU cohesion policy in a way of approaches of Social Constructivism and Policy Networks. Together with the enlarged research and new teaching who is to be created by the proposal, it insists on the new methodology of the teaching at our institution by (a) involving students in the intensive seminar activities (b) connected with the public discussions, TV and radio shows, and (c) open to broad public. It can be described as the crucial new method of open academia and as the place for the network between the academia, public servants, policy makers, civil society actors, media and broad public. The usual methodology is often closed for mentioned actors and the proposal could bring innovative way of teaching and research dissemination at our institution.
