LLC Chiffon is a company operating in the fashion industry field and offering its clients individually tailored clothing, as well as making small lots of collections which are sold in its salon, chain store “Maija”, as well as exported to Russia. Though the salon was opened recently, it has got undivided clients’ attention, and the number of our clients increases by each month. The advantage of the salon certainly is the fact that one can purchase here also textile fabrics manufactured in France and Italy. LLC Chiffon has developed successful collaboration with such representatives of the textile industry as Dutel from Lyons, Serikos, Marco Lagatolla, Euromaglia, Ciabatti from Italy. Due to this, we can offer our clients topical collections for affordable prices. Our clients are satisfied with the offered service and quality, as it is possible to choose a fabric and to model a suitable clothing design, as well as to make it. Moreover, one can get acquainted with the latest fashion trends from the newest fashion catalogues in our salon. During the recent months, we have started collaboration with the Italian company Raccagni which offers high-quality zip-fasteners, and in future this product will be available also in our salon or you will be able to order it.LLC Chiffon develops rapidly, and it makes us think of attraction of new employees, however, we have to deal with the lack of qualified labour force in Latvia. Tailors are very demanded, however, supply is very low. Tailors work is relatively low paid, and therefore it is not popular among the young people. It is very complicated to find qualified specialists with experience in the labour market, and therefore Chiffon made a decision to prepare the new specialists and train them in our company. There was a collaboration contract entered into with Riga Tourism and Creative Education Technical College on providing field training in Chiffon. After graduation from the technical college, the young people are not ready for independent work, therefore we have chosen such a type of training to prepare specialists suitable for us. This will provide our company with the qualified specialists and help us plan development and expansion of our company.Although currently our company also employs high-qualified employees who are ready to share their knowledge with the trainees, we are aware of the fact that the technologies rapidly develop also in our industry, and therefore we would like to give an opportunity for our best specialists to master additional knowledge in our partner company Viquious SARL in France. Main skills, knowledge and abilities which we plan to master during the framework of the projects are as follows:1) Training practises headline determination2) Training programm development3) Supervisor Manual drafting4) Usage of computer software in modelling and clothing designing5) Possibilities and practical usage of the latest generation buttonhole machine Juki LBH 1790U/MC 6016) Usage of the fastening sewing-machine Juki LK 1900A in making children and outdoor clothing7) Possibilities and practical usage of the ribbon-like cutting-out table Rexil R10008) Designing, management and approval of the experimental modelsWe plan to involve four employees in the project - two modellers-designers and two tailors. The participants of the project will be selected in accordance with the company’s selection criteria. It is planned to implement the project in two flows – two participants in each flow. The duration of the training programme of each flow is planned to be 45 daysAs a result of implementing this project, we hope to increase competitiveness of our company within our field, to introduce new technologies in our company, to create new places of employment, to be able to carry out complicated orders, as well as to improve professional skills of our staff. Likewise, we plan to continue collaboration with the educational institutions which will serve as a basis for attracting new specialists.
