JA:hr für Europa in der Waldorfschule
Date du début: 1 janv. 2016, Date de fin: 30 juin 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

By hosting an European volunteer in the Free Waldorf School in Leipzig we want to implement a diverse and lively exchange on creative, intercultural and educational level. For one year the volunteer will accompany a class, create freetime activities and thereby obtain a detailed insight into the Waldorf education, learn everyday life, the operation and structure of a free school and get to know concrete examples of active civil society organization. He may try things out for himself at various levels, will be supported in his creativity and may bring his own interests. That will enrich his personal development. Aspects of his own culture - like stories and children's songs, games and dances, lifestyle and eating habits - he actively involve in the school life and expand so in children, staff and parents the knowledge about another country and stimulate the reflection of the own cultural identity. He also has the possibility to develop and carry out an own project and will get support for that. The issue of European identity will be introduced playfully through creative and participatory methods. In all activities children with fewer opportunities are always involved in the Waldorf School. The volunteer is expanding his linguistic, organizational, pedagogical and creative competences and gives with his ideas new impetus for daily work of the Waldorf school. So their own views and habits are questioned within the work and if necessary amended. Children and staff can have a profound and long-term contact with another culture through the long-term EVS.As the volunteer would like to work professionally in the field of education in the future, he can gain useful practical experience and enhance his employability in the European labor market. Living together with several other young Europeans he reflects upon his cultural heritage and identity steadily and deeply also in his private life.
