The project was initiated in response to the needs of students from Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev" in the town of Lukovit of professional competences in the field of organic farming and agroecology and transfer of experience from well established agricultural farms, and also of increasing competencies of teachers to train students in the field of organic farming and agroecology.In connection with the real business needs of staff with specific skills in the field of organic agriculture and the growing demand for eco products, the project plans conducting a mobility aimed at practice according to adapted and updated curriculum including new topics and practical exercises related to organic farming and agroecology, which leads to the formation of new, competitive skills.The key objectives that the project aims to achieve are:1. To improve the professional, linguistic, personal and social competences of 20 students from Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev" by conducting practice in organic farms in Germany;2. To improve the professional competences of 3 teachers from Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev" by learning current methods and principles of organic production;3. To integrate the experience and competencies acquired during the mobility in the future strategic development of Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev"by extending learning opportunities and enhancing the quality of practical training.Mobility users are 20 students from Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev" in the age range 16-19 from the following professions: "Economist", "Agroecology", "Farmer" and 3 teachers.The practice has a duration of four weeks and will be conducted in well established farms of organic crops and livestock from the area of Leipzig, applying advanced and environmentally friendly methods and technologies of cultivation. In some farms the students will be able to learn a closed-cycle including crop or livestock farm with slaughterhouse and workshop for the production of organic sausages or own point of production realization.As a result of mobility participants will upgrade their professional preparation, acquiring skills to respect the principles in the construction of organic farm, skills to control the quality of production, skills to properly use the organic and mineral fertilizers, ability to protect genetic resources - breeds and varieties. They will gain knowledge of the EU regulations in the organic sector and their practical application in the activities of the farm.Besides professional skills the students will improve their social and communication skills, will become more flexible and adaptable, will get skills to work in a multicultural environment, will become more motivated to learn, will acquire knowledge in a new foreign language - German.All this will contribute to the development of personal skills of the participants and will enhance their employability not only in Bulgaria but also in the European labor market.Teachers will improve their competences about modern trends in organic farming and agroecology and methods of training in practice and will be more aware of the needs and requirements of the German employers to human resources in terms of knowledge, skills and competencies. This will make them better prepared for the real needs of the labor market and will improve their quality of teaching connecting it with the real needs of employers.More broadly, the project will have the effect of increasing the quality of the practical training in the profession "Agroecology" in Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev" thanks to the opportunity for updating the study content as a result of practice in Germany and the study German of experience in organic farming, adding new themes and practical assignments to educational content.Thus the European experience in organic farming and agroecology will be transferred in training programs in Vocational school of agriculture "S.Rumyantsev" and the impact of mobility will exceed the limits of the project and the direct participants in it by providing long-term benefits.
