Prva gimnazija Maribor is a general upper-secondary school which enrols very successful primary school pupils from the town and the region into two programmes (so-called 'gimnazija' and 'classical gimnazija'). We enable students to develop their abilities and talents, and we help the underprivileged. We try to enable the staff to attend high-quality in-service training programmes in Slovenia and abroad.By taking part in the project (three mobilities/structured courses attended by three teachers of computer science, English and German/English), we wish to attain new theoretical knowledge and innovative practical skills which would help improve the language, digital and in intercultural competences of the participants and their students, and consequently of other students and teachers, the school as a learning institution and other stakeholders. We want to improve our opportunities for participation in European projects and raise the awareness of the importance of life-long learning.The chosen structured courses wil consist of plenary sessions, workshops, discussions, individual work and study visits. English will be the main language, but other languages will be spoken as well.We expect improved teaching and learning processes because of the use of new interactive methods and project work in English, German and computer science, as well as increased and expedient implementation of ICT in other subjects and extra-curricular activities. In addition, the school will be able to improve its organization and communication protocols, and increase its European cooperation with similar schools. To sum up, the courses will have a significant impact on the participants' personal and professional growth, and will affect the students, the institution and relevant stakeholders directly and indirectly.
