In addition, there were 3 successful mobilities/camps. The overall aims of the camps was to promote healthy living and greater self esteem. The children also developed an appreciation of the wider world and what it is like to live in different European localities. Similarly, they developed their interpersonal skills, particulary in communicating with students in a different language or from a different locality. Several friendships have sutained following the camps digitally.Several end products were completed including displays in school; healthy living advertisements in foreign languages and fabulous, positive sports days. The project recieved several positive outcomes including greater standards in mother tongue and foreign language; greater levels of self esteem; and healthier attitudes in the socio-disadvantaged groups. The European Dimension and profile of Comenius was also be greatly raised in the local communities as a result of the project as result of local press releases and parental involvement through fund raising and supporting the visiting students from the other schools.
