Barrufet school is a public, preferred students with hearing impairments school, located in the suburb of Camps Blancs ,in Sant Boi de Llobregat ( Spain ) . The school for pre-primary and primary education, has got two classes per year group and 420 students.Teacher-team stability, mostly with a permanent post in the school, helps to set long-term goals. Our school context , a great social , cultural and linguistic diversity and a high number of families with few resources and at risk of social exclusion, needs an inclusive school, to reflect and seek strategies to ensure equal opportunities . "It fits!"All intelligences at school" is a project for the whole school community born from the faculty and the leadership team deep conviction that school must adapt to the new challenges society faces: School internationalization and a search of new modernization ways, innovation, an introduction in the curriculum of strategies to implement new cross-cutting and interdisciplinary approaches, promoting the use of ICT and deepening teamwork as the path to educational success.Four teachers and a member of the leadership team will participate in this project, since we understand the school leadership team support is fundamental to lead change. A teacher will travel to Florence (Italy) to participate in a five-day course about multiple intelligences,“Exploring Multiple Intelligences”and four other teachers will be trained by attending a four-day “job shadowing” experience. We believe in the idea of “ALL intelligences FIT in our school”. This academic year 2015-2016 we are working on emotional intelligence and in the coming year 2016-2017 we plan to delve into the multiple intelligences theory, with the intention that they can be applied transversely across the curriculum. To learn more about these methods and see one of the world's most recognized educational systems, we go to jobshadow the school of "Tevlo Pakkalan koulu" in Oulu (Finland) and "in situ" see their new curriculum, which attaches great importance to mainstreaming, new technologies, teamwork, cooperative and interdisciplinary...It would pretend “job shadow” to improve not only the academic results of students in our schools, but also their ability to solve problems, investigate, be more autonomous, express themselves and be creative achieving a deeper understanding of content and learning skills that will accompany them in their lifelong learning. We will create an eTwinning project co-founded with the Finnish school on multiple intelligences, open to other European schools and also an eTwinning group.Throughout all the process evaluation should be crucial (rubrics, surveys, “jobshadowing” systematic monitoring and activity reports and final reports), the conclusions drawn by the two memories made and further team-work must arise improvement proposals which can help us to implement new actions.Learning will lead to agreements and educational practices through school cycle-teams. Each of the participants in the "job shadowing "will lead the information transfer to his/her school cycle and the Project Cordinator Committee called PILE/KA1 will create multimedia activities for dissemination among other actions will be developed. The expected short term impact means improving the linguistic quality of participant teachers , the faculty motivation and their competence on the theory of multiple intelligence and perhaps an easy access to some training centers because of the school participation in a KA1 project. Increased motivation and improvement of the student learning process. In the educational community increased school prestige participating in European projects, showing interest in innovative methodologies and meaningful family involvement in their children educational process (workshops, surveys). In the long term we expect an impact on the teachers' attitude towards changes , feeling able to try new things, redifining-role-teacher,to innovate… We also hope to generate new needs , such as crediting their English level of knowledge according with the reference of the CEFR Common European Framework of Reference for Languages , broadening participation in future mobilities of other faculty members ...But above all the expected long-term impact refers to a methodological improvement made in a coherent way, paused and scheduled that help us to consolidate those projects or activities that already work and move towards a methodology that enhances new transversal skills and transdisciplinary approach,, with cooperative projects, competence based learning, including all intelligences and providing a high-quality,comprehensive education for our students.
