Fifteen students of Gárdonyi Géza Vocational School can spend six weeks in the traditional restaurants and confectioneries of Caorle. During the previous successful projects we made a good work relationship with the most significant catering establishment of the city which can be found near Adriatic Sea and has huge number of touristic sights.
As the most of the participants are under age and underprivileged they need constant supervision, so during the whole project the presence of accompanied teachers is reasonable.
The applicants are chef, server and confectioner students of 10th, 11th and 12th classes who will deal with tasks according to their qualification under the control of the workplace’s mentor five days a week.
In order to spend their free time the most useful, they will participate cultural programmes. Visiting the architectural and natural environment of the region they will gain more geographical and historical knowledge.
The aim is, over the improvement of professional education, to reinforce the competences of the foreign language, to help the positive development of their personality and raise their need for cognition.
Their professional knowledge will improve with getting to know new ingredients, producing technologies and logistic methods. These new facilities will make them more flexible and more conformable. Their team cohesion will improve. The results of abroad training can be measured in further years but give opportunities for making professional relationship, gaining information about being employed abroad and raise their initiative and rational risk-taking.
The usage of experiences in the curricula help the adaptation of the needs of the changed job market and the race condition. In addition these experiences promote to decrease the disadvantages of the students and help them to close up.
The further aim the project is to make the job market opportunities better in the national and international, mainly in the European field and to fit the professional training into the changed social and economic circumstances.
The popularity of our school, the positive judgement of professional training, the appreciation of physical working and the importance of language knowledge can be improved with the right dissemination.
We hope that in case of successful project we can participate in the training for professionals with up-to-date knowledge who can cope with all situations in our country and abroad as well.
