The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the potential and the role of community centres in fostering cultural cooperation in the cross-border area. The overall objective will be achieved through intensification of cooperation between local cultural institutions of Lublin, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne; improving the competence of the personnel of local cultural institutions, artists and instructors from Lublin, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne; development of comprehensive solutions for cultural cooperation for the years 2014 to 2015 among the local cultural institutions of Lublin, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Lutsk, Lviv and Brest.The scheduled activities and achieved results will strengthen the existing forms of cooperation as well as initiate new ideas and encourage the networking between new institutions. The participants in workshops and conferences will gain valuable knowledge on the use of the new media in culture-making. The Cross-Border Cultural Information Portal and the Medialab East web profile will be a knowledge base and contact point for potential actors interested in culture-oriented cross-border cooperation. They will stimulate cultural cooperation through the provision of a platform for knowledge and information exchange across the borderlands, covering a wide group of recipients. Local cultural institutions will receive modern equipment to be able to tackle the challenges posed by cyberculture and run their operations adjusted to European standards. This will promote the growth of participation in international projects.
