The project is titled 'Invest in teachers - your school is worth it' and it's partners are Szkoła Podstawowa in Dobranowice and GEROS - organisation which provides ICT courses for teachers in Europe. The school is situated in a small village, it has 10 teachers and 55 students. It is run by associacion of parents called: Our school Our children. Inconvenient locality and the size of the school brings risk of exclusion for the staff and students. Being a small school in a rural area means limited chances and opportunities for the students to get a thorough education since the access to educational offer is much more limited here. The teachers nowadays face danger of being made redundant. To be flexible and attractive in the labour market, the teachers have to improve their skills and acquire new competences all the time. Doing post gradual university courses still do not guarantee employment nowadays. Objectives of the project:- learn new ICT skills - two applications to be used in classroom- prevent social and educational exclusion by improving the school's educational offer- improve the staff's English language skills- be part of European community of schools, create new projects of international cooperationThe school wants to enable the staff to get new skills and qualifications in ICT by participating in courses led by GEROS. 4 courses, two different topics, related with usin new applications in education, will be organised and all teachers will be invited to take part in them. Recruitment and preparation phase will be at the beggining of he project, it will include English language course, ICT update and cultural preparation.Implementation of the main activities: the courses: DIGITAL CLASSROOMThe course will be focused on practical activities. We will present “Adobe Flash Professional CC” to be used by teachers working in the schools. Possibilities of using this tool in the lessons, advantages and difficulties will also be discussed. This course will be structured into 4 different training modules, each of which covers a different aspect of using flash animation in either a traditional classroom or an online setting. Coursework will contain a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge, often allowing the teachers to interact with the educational flash animations in a hands-on way. They will practice the necessary skills in order to be able to effectively use their own educational flash animations with their own students. Module 1 – What is “Adobe Flash Professional CC” ? Module 2 – Introduction to “Adobe Flash Professional CC” Module 3 – Creating educational flash animation with “Adobe Flash Professional CC” Module 4 – Participants presentations related to educational flash animationEFFECTIVE USE OF ICT IN CLASSROOMThe course will be focused on practical activities. We will present moodle to be used by teachers working in the schools. Possibilities of using these tool in the lessons, advantages and difficulties will also be discussed. This course will be structured into 4 different training modules, each of which covers a different aspect of using e-learning in either a traditional classroom or an online setting. Coursework will contain a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge, often allowing the teachers to interact with the e-learning systems in a hands-on way. They will practice the necessary skills in order to be able to effectively use their own e-learning systems with their own students. Module 1 – What is “Distance Education” Module 2 – Introduction to Moodle Module 3 – Creating a course with Moodle Module 4 – Participants presentations related to distance learning education.The methodological approach: Participants will be given the theoretical information that they need to effectively create their own ICT solutions. Using this theoretical knowledge, they will then complete several practical tasks designed to teach them how to properly and effectively use “Adobe Flash Professional CC” and Moodle. Each module will attempt to incorporate the existing knowledge and experience of the trainees in an effort to create a helpful learning environment while at the same time demonstrating the importance of collaboration and shared creation in the educational flash animation making process. In addition, each trainee will produce a sample educational flash animation at the end of the course. The instructor will present information,guide the students through the practical components, and offer feedback and suggestions.Results and long term effects:- new ICT skills used in the classroom- innovative methods of teaching- exchanged pedagogical experience and good practice among participants which leads to new cooperations and future projects-improved English skills-qualified and motivated staff- interesting lessons, more motivated students-better image of the school in the local community- high quality of educational offer of the school- more motivated staff, self-confident
