The Technical College “ Carol I” , Bucharest, carried out the mobility project, ACTIVE LEARNING, between 3rd August2015 and 2nd August2016. This took place within Erasmus+ Program, the action key KA1, school education , staff mobility in the field of education.
The project was funded by the European Commission through the National Agency , with the following contract number: 2015-1-RO01-KA101-014224.
The management team has proposed with the European Development Plan to increase the importance of the European dimension in the initial and continuing vocational training to facilitate and promote the mobility and the development of partnerships aiming at improving the school’s image in the European context.
School also promotes the national and European values, the European citizenship education, the European dimension in education and the quality management. Our mission is to turn our school into an European one.
By implementing this project, we received the answer to the need of acquiring the modern teaching methods and classroom management in order to create an active and efficient educational system.
The objectives of the project have been fulfilled with the participation of 5 teachers at the two training streams which corresponded through content to the identified training needs.; valuing all the competences and the knowledge acquired during the mobility program; improving teachers’ skills in training in order to motivate students and devise more attractive lessons ; increasing the quality of the teaching process in accordance with the students’ needs; developing the English linguistic competences for the participants in the mobility program.

The national and international training centre and NGO "Motivated Learning for Everyone as the host organization and suppliers of training courses. ANPCDEFP was the European alternative learning facilitator. The project was designed in three stages. The first stage covered the period of preparation , in which teachers were selected to achieve the ten approved mobilities , five for each flow . They also participated in linguistic ( English), cultural and pedagogical training sessions as well as in logistical preparation for the mobility program.The selected teachers came from different curricular areas: they are professors in ordinary and they believe in the principle of long life learning, with good English , educational management, computer and organizational skills.
The second stage consisted of running two streams of mobility. The first training course
Fundamental Know - How For Effective Teaching (16 to 25 November 2015), was held in Madrid, Spain. The organizer was NGO Motivated Learning for Everyone, Bulgaria. The knowledge gained aimed at the fundamentals, the principles and the techniques of active learning, learning styles, interdisciplinary approaches, teaching strategies, cooperative learning and creative learning.
The second course, Enhance Technical and Vocational Education (29 February-4 March 2016) was organized by the national and international training center Eekhoutcentrum in Bruges, Belgium. The topics addressed were: motivating students, classroom management, strategies to improve quality of school education, designing lessons in technical education, cooperation between school and several economical agents. There were a visit in the regional technical schools and a meeting, where the concept “in-company classes” and the dual education experience in Belgium, were discussed.
This course responded to the need to find out ways to motivate students to opt for technical education, learn and acquire practical skills more easily.
The third stage included running skills transfer activities acquired by the participating teachers to other teachers, dissemination of results and the preparation of final reports.
The results are: acquiring new skills, attitudes and values in teaching by teachers, motivating students to active learning, the transfer of skills from trained teachers to other teachers and an efficient training to ensure the effective integration of students on the European labor market. The impact was positive on the teachers and the students directly and indirectly on parents and the local community.
