Internet of Things (IoT): Ίντερνετ των Πραγμάτων – Το Αύριο της Ψηφιακής Εποχής
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This application is submitted by the 2nd EPAL of Patras (Secondary Vocational School). There are 272 students and 48 teachers attending this school. Our school includes the following fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Construction Engineering and Graphic Arts. The pedagogical team in collaboration with the students who have contributed in the final shaping of the proposal, suggested it to the Schools’ Teachers' Board and received approval for the organization of the following mobility project: “Internet of Things (IoT), the Future Digital Era”, under Erasmus +, action KA1. The duration is 12 months, from 01/06/2016 to 01/06/2017. The target group is: 16 senior high school students that attend the fields of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic engineering and two escort teachers intending to make designing, implementation and connection of "things" (devices-cameras) in smart grids, part of the program. The participants come from low educational and economic level families with low vocational rehabilitation opportunities with high incentive for further specialization. A special consideration through the designing of the proposal was its direct connection with our previous finished projects. The Mobility will take place in one flow for 16 days in Vienna, Austria at Amadeus Association, from 04.03.2017 to 19.03.2017.The main objective is for the participants to develop/improve new knowledge, skills and abilities, based on two pillars:1) increase design knowledge skills of IOT Network implementation and application2) practical application of these techniques through visits to selected companies (Stockwerk, Coxcoon, Osdomotic, Debattierclub) to link theory with practiceThe 2nd EPAL Patras, through the submission of this proposal, aims to be consistent with both its quadrennial planning (this proposal is essentially a continuation of last year's approved proposal for mechatronics which is being implemented this year) and the effective pupils’ participation in the implementation of the project. Our school’s ambition is to innovate at the implementation of the project, by applying direct dissemination and evaluation through livestream courses between the training facilities in Austria and the school in Greece. The distinctive key targets set to meet the target group’s identified needs as well as the group’s expected outcomes, are:1) Knowledge, skills and experience acquirement in design, implementation and application of IoT networks through seminar courses2) Work experience acquirement, contact establishment with people qualified in their sectors, in person connection of theory and practice, knowledge acquisition of the new technology.3) Development of personal skills such as self-confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, accountability, consistency, cooperativeness4) Multiculturalism reinforcement, eradication of xenophobia and fear of living/moving to another country.5) Exercise English language6) Acquisition of qualifications (Europass, certifications)7) Development of partnerships between persons and institutionsThe choice of Austria was based on its technological superiority in IOT technologies (http://www.iot-vienna.at/), which covers all three fields our students attend as well as the creation of networks ISO / IEC / IEEE P21451 -1-4 XMPP (Interface for Smart). The choice of host institution Amadeus Association in Vienna was based on the expertise and knowledge held in all seminars and procedures, as well as the wide network of partnerships with many operators. The operator Amadeus Association operates as an institution hosting programs Lifelong Learning - Leonardo da Vinci Mobility (IVT , VETPRO, PLM) and now Erasmus+ since 2004 and has implemented more than 101 such mobility projects. The main subjects of these projects were IoT Programming, Programming Smart PLC for Smart Houses, e-learning, e-class - Virtual Classroom. The operator covers the formal requirement of PIC number.Everyone involved has a clear role and obligations dictated by written agreements and mutual trust «Mutual Trust». The methodology in project management will be formative, so that there is feedback at each stage of the execution and continuous improvement of results. The impact on participants is to increase their competitiveness by giving them a competitive advantage in finding a job. The sending organization will increase its openness, its European dimension and cooperation network. The host institution will increase its reputation and its collaboration with organizations from Greece. Finally, all necessary actions planned for dissemination of the results are predicted (workshop, posts on websites, social media, printed materials, etc.) as well as the viability of the project (creating lessons, work sheets for future students, audiovisual production, etc.).
