Internationalisierung, Bilingualität und interkultureller Austausch - unsere Schule entwickelt sich weiter!
Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

We are a vocational college located at the outskirts of the metropolitan region of Munich, which has been working on the institutional advancement of our school for several years now. The proximity to the Munich International Airport and the city of Munich as industrial site has long put emphasis on our school's agenda by trying to achieve a high level of internationalization and bilingualism, since the school cooperates with many international companies in the context of our students' mandatory internships. Both objectives will be realized further by this project and its staff mobilities. Moreover, we have realized that our heterogeneous student body provides a unique opportunity of inter-cultural teaching, learning and cross-cultural communication, exchange, and interaction. Thus, the planned training courses within the framework of this project will further contribute to promoting the institutional enhancement of FOS/BOS Freising; additionally, they will help us address and approach cross-cultural issues and implement inter-cultural exchange and communication in the classrooms. We intend to participate with five staff members; each one of the participants has specialized in different fields of education, such as linguistics, social sciences, or natural sciences. With different disciplines involved, we desire to address and view the issues of internationalization, bilingualism, and inter-cultural exchange from various angles, because we are convinced that incorporating different professional and educational backgrounds and skills will eventually lead to a common and holistic approach that will enrich our school as a whole. The results and outcomes the staff mobilities will have gained in their courses will finally have a disseminator effect on faculty, student body, and external personnel.Promoting international development, achieving liberal-minded and cosmopolitan staff members and students as well as gaining a European identity are the major objectives we seek to obtain with the project titled "Internationalization, Bilingualism, and Inter-Cultural Exchange - Our School Keeps On Going". The contents and results of our intended courses will be available and perceptible to everyone interested by displaying relevant issues and topics publicly. Further ways of dissemination will include articles that address and evaluate the opportunities of this project; they are intended to be published in our annual report, on our school's homepage and in the student magazine and will thus be available to a broader audience. We expect our project to have a long-lasting effect on all those involved. Furthermore, we expect the ideas and values of cultural exchange, cultural enrichment, European identity, and European citizenship to become an integral part of our school.
