IPNet – the new stage of the project continues and expands the network of co-operation between SMTG Kraków, Künstlerhaus Wien and the Horst-Janssen Museum in Oldenburg, which was started in 2006. The IPNet was joined by "PrintArt" Katowice, Dalarnas Museum in Falun and the Mimar University in Istanbul, all of which were granted the status of an associated partner.Graphic art is at the very center of the project as an interdisciplinary area of exploration for questions regarding the technological conditions of multipliable images, their propagation and their social function. The co-operation is based on the organisation and conducting of representative exhibitions of world graphic art, symposiums, educational programmes and a forum for young artists. The creation of a permanent European platform of graphic art that brings institutions, museums and artists’ associations together, reinforces their position, stimulates and creates new tendencies in art and gives young artists an opportunity to participate in the broad circulation of art.Aims of IPNet:• Organisation of international graphic art competitions and support of circulation of works• Preparation of main international exhibitions in: Kraków, Vienna, Oldenburg, Katowice, Falun and Istanbul• Preparation of the programme of accompanying exhibitions• Setting-up of the International Council of Experts for the purpose of transfer and exchange of knowledge and establishment of contacts• Support of the intercultural and international dialogue through: symposiums, meetings, lectures, workshops etc.• Co-operation with outstanding artists, critics and theoreticians of art from all parts of the world, transfer and exchange of ideas and knowledge• Supporting of young artists: organisation of competitions and exhibitions, co-operation with universities of arts• Publishing of multilingual publications, catalogues of exhibitions and other prints and their distribution• Promotion of events of the IPNet programme
