Secondary School of Constructions of Emil Bellus in Trencin has a regional scope and it is divided into two sections- two school staffs of teachers and pedagogical employees. While the first part of the staff in the building located in Stanicna street teaches the students of three fields of study, the others in Brnianska street prepare students for certain professions. The project "Internationalization and modernization of education" which has its source in the current needs of the school is designed to enable 18 teachers further education in the structural courses. The project will help our institution enhance foreign language competencies and communication skills, improve ICT competencies, increase international dimensions through an international cooperation and relationships which would be built up during teacher trainings. Educational institutions ADC College and I.S.P. in Great Britain and E.T.I. in Malta will provide teacher trainings in English. Methodological trainings of English teachers will be focused on the following topics: "Creative Methodology" and " Using Technology for Teaching English". These institutions will also provide trainings in the field of school management and structural courses of English for teachers of specialized subjects. Then we planned professional trainings for specialized teachers focused on development of ICT skills and comparison of school system and the system of vocational education in Great Britain with the system of school and vocational education in Slovakia and with other EU countries. Teacher trainings in German language will be provided by the institutions E.S.L. language schools in Berlin in Germany and ActiLingua Academy in Vienna in Austria. They will be focused on improving the German language and the new methods in teaching German. We assume that the participants will share the positive experience and the outcomes of their mobilities and together with the new methodologies will be used in the educational process. Participants will be able to integrate gained ICT and a foreign language and communication skills into teaching, strategic partnerships and etwinning projects of European dimensions within their field of study. These improved foreign language skills will help many teachers learn further from foreign language sources according to their specialization. We assume the change of our institution in the area of school management, motivation and work with people. From the perspective of potential longer term benefits "Internationalization and modernization of education" will increase motivation and satisfactory in their daily work, but it will also bring using new less formal, more attractive and effective teaching methods, tools and activities into education and changes in the organization of education and curriculums.
