Interkulturelle Pädagogik
Date du début: 1 déc. 2016, Date de fin: 30 nov. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Europe today is known for a closely connected global market and this fact requires an intercultural cooperation. The Vienna Business School Akademiestraße (VBS) aims to convey this idea to its students in a competent way in order to prepare them for their future. Therefore, well-educated and open-minded teachers who are interested in their further education are needed. That is the only way to guarantee the high quality training for their learners. Nowadays it is indispensable to promote cultural diversity and to improve the teaching quality by finding new teaching methods. Therefore, the first step will be an educational stay in Finland that shall be realized within the project called "intercultural pedagogy". The main objective of the project is to get to know the Finish and other European school systems in order to introduce efficient structures in our classes. Finland is known for its excellent education system and Finish students have very good English skills, which is a big advantage in today's global world. Moreover, Finish pupils also learn Swedish and further foreign languages like German. The project "intercultural pedagogy" aims for an intense exchange in that the Finish students should not just improve their German skills, but also learn about Austrian traditions and our culture. The objective is to get them interested in our home country. Furthermore, the Finish school system will be analyzed during various lessons, which is the best way to reflect on similarities and differences. Getting this input could help us to develop new methods and enhance the teaching skills of the participant. Furthermore, the project will give all participants the possibility to establish sustainable connections with international colleagues. First of all, there will be a mutual exchange with the Finish teachers, but there shall also be communication with other European colleagues – this is why the eTwinning platform will be used afterwards as it helps to connect with other schools on an international level. Of course, the colleagues at VBS will also benefit from what the participant learned in Finland. Moreover, the gained experience abroad and the new theoretical input will enable the participant to actively participate in the development of new school projects and she will work out new ideas for a competence-based language training. The participant has a lot of teaching experience and she spent several periods abroad to improve her language skills and to get to know new cultures. She is very open-minded and always ready to make new experiences in order to establish new international connections.
