Interdisciplinary European Studies in Latin America
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

During the last years, research and teaching activities of Latin American Universities on European integration has been stagnated or decreased. The projects tries to counter these tendencies and aims at the realization of three major objectives: - Improving the teaching capacities on interdisciplinary European Studies in Latin American Universities- Networking between Latin American universities which are active in European Studies- Increase the presence of the European integration process as teaching subject in Latin American Universities The project consists of three different consecutive parts: - The first part will be a conference on “Estudios Europeos Interdisciplinarios en América Latina” (Interdisciplinary European Union Studies in Latin America). The participants of the conference are university teachers who are working on different aspects of the European Union and/or the relations between the European Union and Latin America. The conference´s objective is the exchange of experiences and ideas on teaching European Studies in Latin America and the development and discussion on new methods and obstacles in teaching European Studies.- The second part of the projects is the development of a web-based platform which provides teaching material and methodological proposals for teaching European Studies in Latin America from an interdisciplinary perspective. This platform is based on the results of the conference. The web-page will have open access and therefore provides support for teaching European Studies not only for the involved project members but also for the wider academic audience in Spanish-speaking countries.- The third part is an evaluation conference which analyzes the results of the first two parts of the project and which will also identify possible steps to intensify and develop future cooperation between Latin American institutions which teach European Studies.
