The project "European artistic youth Exchange of people with and without disability", that goes for acrononym "Art as a language" will take place in Burgos (Spain) for five months (01/01/2015 to 31/05/2016). It will involve 16 people between 13 and 30 years old, with and without disability from the Association Berbiquí (Burgos) and NBW Thikwa (Berlin. Germany).The exchange is aimed at providing young people with and without disabilities the opportunity of working together using the LANGUAGE they have IN COMMON: ART; by focusing on the benefits of participating people with different capabilities, culture and language. Also it pretends to share a working methodology based on the use of art with INCLUSIVE GROUPS and to offer the possibility of being in touch with people who work as an artists (Thikwa) enabling the labour insertion of the Berbiquí participants with disability.The programme will be a combination of ARTISTIC WORKSHOPS centred on different disciplines where young people will make art in cooperation and learn with from each other, with CULTURAL ACTIVITIES and leisure to know the historical heritage, the gastronomy and the culture of Burgos. These activities will be extended of transversal form with different types of DYNAMICS to work group cohesion. We will use a methodology based on the NOT FORMAL EDUCATION, some of the artistic workshops will be given by the own participants. A key point of the methodology is the CONTINUOUS EVALUATION of the activities, where the users will take part in an active way.The expected impact is a SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIVE EFFECT. In addition, inside the area of the institutional relations the wished impact is to reach the major REPERCUSSION AND IMPLICATION of the PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS with this initiative, looking for a punctual support when the activities will be developed and to be opening channels of communication and implication of the different institutions and companies with our future projects. Also, a strong impact is waited in the tradicional mass media of Burgos, Castilla y León and Berlin and in the social networks."Art as a language" supposes a TOOL of AWARENESS- RAISING ON DIVERSITY. Working with inclusive groups BREAKS STEREOTYPES associated with the disability and answers to the need to make art accessible to all the people as a form of expression.
