The project "Interactive practices and innovative approaches for qualitative vocational education" is initiated by Profesionalna gimnazia “Atanas Burov”, Silistra. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of vocational education by helping teachers to develop new teaching skills, to use e-learning in their daily teaching, to apply many useful ways of cooperation and communication in classes.
The qualification of the teachers will give the students up the opportunity for education, answering today's economic requirements. High unemployment, a large number of students from various minority groups requires a new approach and acquirement of European experience in a multicultural environment. Learning modern methods and approaches in vocational and foreign language training is one of the ways to achieve the best results in education. The school has several computer labs, providing daily use of IT, which requires permanent qualification of the personnel, acquiring new knowledge and skills.
The main project activities are related to the learning of modern, innovative practices and teaching methods that can be applied in the class:
- Improving the quality of educational activities by acquiring European experience;
- Increasing the competence of personnel by participating in international training activities;
-Introducing new methods and ways of learning digital competences;
- Emphasizing the need of improving foreign language refer to profession;
- Integrating the information and communication technologies (ICT) and digital interactive whiteboard (TNI) in training;
- Studying vocational subjects in different European schools and its certification; emphasizing on educational approaches for children with special needs.
The participants of the project are 10 teachers from Profesionalna gimnazia “Atanas Burov” Silistra, teaching foreign language in profession - English and French language and professional training. We expect the participation of the teachers in training course to help them to improve the quality of their work by:
- Integrating new technologies, for example TNI (digital interactive whiteboard) in classes;
- Providing tools to integrate the European dimension in education by involving students in international initiatives and competitions.
