Interaktion - Etkileşim - Hevbandori
Date du début: 1 mai 2015, Date de fin: 1 août 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This youth exchange will be held from 22.05.2015 to 31.05.2015 in Bremen with young multipliers from Diyarbakir (East of Turkey) and Bremen. Bremen performed quite a few youth projects with the western part of Turkey (eg Izmir). During this process the idea was raised to start a cooperation with the eastern part of Turkey as well including the Kurdish minority. In a previous experts meeting in autumn 2014 it became clear, that the interest of both groups is very large, to deepen mutual knowledge, to intensify and discuss pedagogical approaches and further to strengthen the partnership and to involve youth multipliers for further cooperation. The Youth Exchange with a total of 24 participants, five group leaders (including linguistic mediation) and five other pedagogical experts from Germany, is aimed at young adults between 18-30 years. These young multipliers work voluntarily or part time at the German and Turkish cooperating organizations with the target group of disadvantaged young people. The theme of this youth exchange is "Interaction - Etkileşim - Hevbandori". This name is based on the focus on experiential learning, in which the young multipliers will get qualified and trained. The OBJECTIVES and ACTIVITIES of this youth exchange are:Getting to know each other through games and language animation, as well as getting to know the project environment by a city bound action. In addition, a day trip to Bremerhaven Emigration Centre is planned. In Bremen, the young multipliers will get to know the Bremen youth work structures, working approaches and methods. This is ensured through visits to various youth centres and introductory presentations. The focus of the youth exchange in Bremen will be on experiential learning. It offers a low-threshold approach to work, which can reduce language barriers when used in heterogeneous and internationally mixed groups. It will also promote interaction and team spirit and provides an ideal setting to reflect and question roles and hierarchies in groups. The young multipliers get to know experiential learning as a working approach and exemplary know the corresponding methods. The reflection encompasses also the applicability to their own work contexts and their own role as group leaders. The youth exchange also aims to sensitize the young multipliers for the challenges of working with disadvantaged young people. The participants will prepare exercises in small groups, perform them with the whole group and reflect afterwards. An introduction to "canoeing" is another element of experiential learning. Here it is possible to learn new skills, to promote personal development and the mutual support and team spirit. The linguistic, social and intercultural learning and personal development are other objectives of the youth exchange. Furthermore, the development and consolidation of the partnership for the joint development of youth projects will be an important part of the project, as there is mutual interest in the planning of joint projects. A project planning phase at the end of the exchange offers the opportunity to initiate joint follow-up projects. There will be an exchange of ideas for further projects. Also an introduction to funding opportunities as well as application and a preparation for further joint projects is provided. The common leisure and evening activities are important components, because there informal learning and self-organization of young people will be encouraged. As a result of this project intercultural learning, improving mobility literacy, job-related learning (especially in terms of transferability of the working approach of experiential learning), personal and social skills are promoted and the opportunity for self-organization and participation is provided. Other effects include: Firstly, the joint ventures, both at international (Bremen-Diyarbakir) as well as at the local level are deepened. In addition, this project should be seen as a political signal at European level to involve eastern Turkey in youth projects. The long-term effect is the young multipliers themselves. They will continue the cooperation and include the experiential learning in their work.
