Inter-Religious dialogue in Youth Work
Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 30 juil. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

As we know Europe is facing with a huge emigrant problem. A lot of people are migrating from warzones in Middle East, but also from other of the World where the fleeing from poverty. Most of this people come from different cultures and religion. Unfortunately because of this, there is a lot of tension in most European countries. Racism, xenophobia and intolerance are rising among the European people. In our opinion it is lack of education, experience on personal level, space, where those groups could meet together. Formal education system often fails to provide diverse religious education for the issues relevant to young people, where the youth organisations, which are using non- formal education in their activities, can fill in this gap. Therefore for youth workers and youth leaders there is need to have a training course, where participants could have chance to learn from each other about different religions and belief systems, share their opinions, learn not only how to argue in a discussion of religious diversity, but also how to construct methods on the topic, which they can implement afterwards in their work with young people or in projects under Erasmus+ program. Why inter – religious dialogue is necessary? Why we need to engage in it? And how to do it? Europe is a multi – cultural place (we can find many nationalities, ethnicities, languages, cultures and religions there) and it is also engaging in different corporations with countries outside Europe. The usage of Inter-religious dialogue can encourage unity and peace, help to improve the knowledge and skills of participants, and lead to mutual understanding. We do believe, that one thing is to read about it in literature, but totally other – try out in practice, learn from each other and then implement the outcomes of the training course in future projects under Erasmus + program and daily work. The objectives of the project will work for the long-term aim, which is conducting change in the European societies by strengthening the capacities of NGO from partner countries (though preparation of youth leaders/workers) to increasing the capacity of young people regarding the youth activities in the field of inter-religious dialogue issues and promote dialogue among young people with different religious belongings. The main aim of the project is:- to foster the effectiveness and quality of youth work through the development of youth workers, youth leaders and NGO representatives’ competencies in the field of interfaith dialogue.- to prepare youth leaders/workers how to deal with religious issues in youth work and promote dialogue among young people with different religions and believe belongings in international youth work.
