Our school has a long tradition of working in international projects, e.g. Comenius, eTwinning. We've been engaged in eTwinning since 2008, and several of our projects have been awarded with the European Quality Label. Still, most of that work has been done by just one colleague, accompanying her English lessons, and thus just reached a limited number of students.Our long-term goal is to involve more colleagues in our work with European partners. This project is to arouse their interest, strengthen their motivation and offer them the opportunity to develop their competencies for that kind of work while learning together with colleagues from other European countries. Implementing eTwinning projects into "Media Studies" lessons of grade 8-10, we plan to reach more students. Courses and visits to schools abroad, as well as the exchange of ideas with other European teachers will help us to create a functioning school's curriculum for that subject. In addition to that participants will get to know and experiment with modern methodology of project-based learning. They will be enabled to create project ideas and use them in their lessons. This will have a positive influence on the learning outcomes of our students.We plan to participate in 18 training activities over the course of 24 months with colleagues teaching languages, social or natural sciences and music/arts.Participants will gain knowledge and foreign language, intercultural, digital and project management competencies, which will become part of their teaching and be shared with their colleagues after the training sessions. This will have a positive influence on a greater number of staff.We expect the higher motivation and competence level of staff to result in creating authentic and interesting learning activities, which will also contribute to strengthening students' motivation and developing students' subject, foreign language, intercultural, digital and transversal skills.
