The BBZ Bautzen has been introduced to the program through similar projects conducted by the BSZ Löbau. The positiv results for the participants and teachers as well as the long lasting experience of the project manager have produced the wish to be able to offer these internships to our own aprentices. We train students in building professions such as decorating or building, our young people come from disadvantaged backrounds. They need special support in managing every day live as well as work live. The project is aimed to involve them right form the start. They are in a rehabilitating training program, they havent been able to succesfully apply for aprenticeships on the free market. The project will help them to establish basics such as punctuality, responsibility and activly taking part at lessons. The mobility itself will furthermore teach them how to deal with a new culture and new situations and will strenghten their selfimage. Our young people rarely have a chance to go abroad. With such a project they can experience work practise in a different country in a safe way - being looked after by highly trained, caring and experienced staff. 20 years of experience with exchange projects have proofed the strong positiv impact that these placemnets have on the trainees. 8 young people will work for three weeks in Devon UK and be accomanied by two teachers/staff and the project manager. The two groups of builders and decoraters will each tackle one project, the first lot wil be construting a car park and the other will be creativly refurbish hallways and walls. CMS Devon Ltd has succesfully and with mutual profit worked with Dame Hannah Rodgers Trust who ultimatly wenden up hosting the work program. The studenst will work together with the local maintenance team. CMS Devon Ltd as the receiving partner is responsible for the organistion of the whole mobility including preperations seminar, accomodation, flights, transport, food, insurance and free time activities. For which the company director has ample qualification by managing such projects since 2010. We believe that our students will grow in their personal and vocational strenghts and that it will enable them to succesfully apply for work in the free labour market when they have finished their aprenticeships.
